Workshop Description

Kinesiology and Treatment of the Pelvis and Low Back is a 10-hour intensive training in understanding, assessing, and treating the pelvis and low back.

Day 1 sets the foundation by reviewing the muscles of the pelvis and low back and examining the relationship between the pelvic posture and the health of the spine. We also discuss the principles of proper body mechanics for deep tissue work, as well as the principles of cryotherapy, stretching, advanced stretching, and joint mobilization.

Day 2 is entirely hands-on, applying the principles covered in day 1. After palpating the muscles of the region, we cover assessment and treatment techniques, including deep tissue work, regular and advanced stretching, and joint mobilization. The textbook
Kinesiology (Enhanced Edition): The Skeletal System and Muscle Function is optional,
but strongly recommended.
