Connect with the American Academy of Family Physicians

Once again, the Arizona chapter has been invited to attend as an exhibitor at the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Annual Conference. A few years ago, a member from the Oklahoma chapter started connecting state chapters of the AAFP with AMTA Chapters, in an effort to market and educate the doctors on the benefits of massage. The Arizona chapter attended last year and we were able to network with family physicians and fellow AMTA-AZ members. It was a great success!

This year's conference will be held on Friday, February 17 from 7am to 3:30pm at the Phoenix Zoo. We are looking for AMTA members to join us in promoting the benefits of massage, by talking with doctors and providing chair massage demonstrations. We ask for a commitment of at least 2 hours during the conference but welcome you to join us for the day to network with fellow therapists, family physicians and other exhibitors. Our chapter will provide face cradle covers, hand and chair sanitizer and literature, including 'Find a Massage Therapist' business cards.
