Winners of the Arizona Chapter's Second Annual Student Essay Contest

by Sandy Anderson, AMTA-AZ 1st Vice President

Friday, October 7, 2011 7:00 am

The Arizona Chapter is proud to announce the winners of the second annual state-wide essay contest for massage therapy students. We invited all massage therapy students in the state to participate in this contest for a chance to win a free, Chapter-sponsored continuing education workshop in 2012. Students did not need to be current AMTA members to enter.

The topic of the essay contest was: What is the Biggest Challenge You Think You Will Face as a Professional Massage Therapist, and How Do You Plan to Meet That Challenge? Entries were judged on relevance to the essay topic, writing skills, creativity and originality.

Congratulations to the winners!

Be sure to read their essays--click on each person's name to view their winning entries.

First Place Winners:
Wendell Doman, Arizona School of Massage Therapy, Tempe
Susan Schupp, Carrington College, Mesa
Judy Stuebs, Phoenix College, Phoenix

Each received a gift certificate for a free Arizona Chapter workshop in 2012.

Because there were no entries from the northern and western or the southern regions of the state, all the winners are from central Arizona.
